We are currently seeking a motivated operations manager to join us in our mission to transform the global secondary metals industry. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the marketplace for both buyers and sellers.

Your mission

- Ensure smooth buying and selling activities (export/import) of scrap metal on METYCLE.
- Collaborate closely with METYCLE's trading team to ensure smooth operations, including orders, contracts, and documents.
  - Organize bulk and container shipments, as well as rail, truck, and air transport, in close cooperation with logistics partners.
  - Draft and review sales and purchase contracts, amendments, and prepare packing lists for deliveries.
  - Draft Bill of Lading (B/L) instructions for suppliers and/or logistics partners.
  - When necessary, arrange for independent supervision of loading and discharging operations. Additionally, provide instructions on weighing, sampling, and moisture determination operations.
  - Prepare and communicate commercial offers for a variety of products, including payment terms and delivery terms, in collaboration with METYCLE trading team.
  - Work closely with METYCLE traders to assist in commercial negotiations.
- Optimize existing operations processes and design future ones.
- Working alongside our management team, you have the responsibility of developing operations processes and roadmap. Additionally, your role involves influencing the long-term strategic direction.
- Establish and cultivate new operational partnerships.
- Collaborate closely with our Product and Engineering teams to enhance processes and user journeys on the marketplace

Your profile

Preferably, having initial B2B transaction experience with exposure to export/import activities.
Fast learner, problem-solver, and detail-oriented with a hands-on mentality.
Results-driven mentality and focus on achieving our operational key performance indicators (KPIs).
Entrepreneurial mentality and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
Eager to work outside of your comfort zone.
Team player who enjoys working in a startup-minded and intercultural team environment.
Fluent in English and at least one local language
Willingness to travel
